  • Client Comment - "PASS Really Works"

I have successfully implemented and managed the Positive Attitude Safety System in 4 different countries around the world. PASS is an employee based communication tool and conduit for developing high levels of risk sensitivity and builds upon the values of positive reinforcement in all levels of the workplace.

It's growth and ownership is driven by the employees and has significantly contributed to improving operating discipline. PASS is simple, easy to manage and compliments and binds any HSEC Management System and has been a successful lead indicator in my HSEC portfolio for over 10 years. It really works. -

Photos: above left, Collahuasi Drill Rig and above right, PASS Safety Discussion (Safety Huddle)

The rescue of 33 Miners at San Jose Mine in Copiapo, Chile is an excellent result and Positive Attitude Safety System Inc. (PASS) is proud to have played a small but significant Safety role in the successful rescue. The Miners had been been trapped underground since 5th August. (Please Note, San Jose Mine is not a PASS Client).

The drill rig (Schramm T130) and equipment was provided by one of our our Chilean mining clients,Doña Ines de Collahuasi SCM, whose 8,000 employees and contractors have been benefiting from the PASS System since 2008. This drill rig was operated by Collahuasi contractor Geotec Boyles Bros. S.A., drilling crew and Collahuasi personel.

Each shift, the drilling crew conducted their PASS Safety Discussions (Saftey Huddles) and we are pleased to announce that there were zero injuries during the urgent rescue effort.

  • Congratulations to Collahuasi and Geotec Boyles Bros. S.A. personel involved in the rescue! (photo below)
